One of my personal favorite driving events of the year has returned for yet another memorable time in New Jersey. Clubloose EAST COAST BASH is always a great time and this year was no different. The amount of drivers this year was huge. Each group of driving groups from beginner to advanced had at least 30 to 40 drivers. Many drivers and spectators were form all over the country. All these new people bought out so many new builds and setups showcased on this wonderful summer weekend. Of course all this hard driving didn’t come with a few people paying the price. There were many crashes and mechanical failures amongst the drivers but that did not stop many people from fixing the issues to get back out there and drive hard once again. The drivers not only had to battle car issues, but also mother nature. It was a very, VERY hot weekend. Not only that, on the last day of this two-day event, it rained…HARD. Still the show must go on and it did. This is why I love this event so much. People don’t let issues stop them from having a good time no matter what. So with that being said, lets get into this coverage.
The man behind Clubloose, Matt Petty, is so consistent in his RB’d hatch.
Papa was killing it all weekend long in his SR-powered S14.
This LSx Powered E36 was turning heads on track and in the pits with those highlighter yellow BBS Wheels.
It was great to see Damien Bagley back out on track with his built KA-powered S15 Silvia.
The Drift Alliance was in full effect on Saturday. Anywhere from 4 to 7 missile car tandems from Forsberg, Gittin, Tuerck and crew. They put down crowd pleasing runs everytime they were out on track.
Geoff Stoneback and his LSx S14 chasing down the lightweight bullet that is Eric O’Sullivan‘s Turbocharged Pontiac Solstice.
Our driver Reese Marin in his One Motion Garage Built LSx S13 was smoking up Nexen Tires all weekend long. Despite a few hiccups from tandem crashes, he kept going and drove harder and harder with each run. Reese definitely killed it at ECB.
Breaking Crew, Midwest Reppin’.
Unfortunately for this driver his car caught of fire mid run. He almost completed a full pass, ON FIRE. crazy moment. Glad he was not hurt.
Grip Royal‘s S13 was a definite head turner. BCL Wings FTW.
It was a great time. Cant wait to do it all again next year. Till next time, East Coast Bash. You rock.
